We build the stories behind the strategies that are changing the world

Who We Are

We built this firm because we saw something broken in the world of branding, marketing, and communications: strategy was being replaced with speed, content was being confused with leadership, and long-term vision was buried beneath short-term deliverables.

Based in Austin, Texas, with offices in Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C. and London, we are a strategic partner to visionary leaders — built on the conviction that narrative is not an output of strategy; it is strategy. From CEOs to founders to mission-driven organizations, we help our clients define the story only they can tell — the one that drives momentum, shapes markets, and changes the way people think.

We are more than a branding firm. Different than your average public relations agency. Our work is modeled on precision, not retainers. We don’t aim to tie clients into long-term contracts — they come back because our short-term engagements deliver meaningful clarity and measurable results, often within weeks, not years. We design everything we do to align your message with your mission and to ensure that every audience — internal or external—understands exactly why you are a leader.

We don’t just help you say the right things. We help you build a voice of influence and win.

CASE STUDY: Executive Leadership and Global Narrative

From Instability to Influence: Reframing Egypt’s Global Voice

Problem
Following a major political transition, Egypt’s leadership faced global skepticism and needed to establish credibility, project a unified national narrative, and attract foreign investment—all ahead of President el-Sisi’s first visit to the U.S. for the 2014 United Nations General Assembly.

Solution & Results
Our team developed and executed a comprehensive international communications campaign to reposition Egypt as a credible, stable, and reform-minded nation ready for investment and partnership. The campaign focused on elevating President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s personal leadership brand while introducing the “New Egypt” narrative of peace, prosperity, and growth to global audiences. Working closely with Egypt’s government, U.N. envoys, and private sector partners, the team secured tier-one media coverage with The Wall Street Journal and TIME Magazine, created branded advertising across Times Square, NASDAQ Tower, and New York City transit systems, and drove over 3 million media impressions and 720,000 social media engagements. The campaign was a defining example of how a unified executive narrative—amplified through visual branding, opinion pieces, and high-level media strategy—can shift global perception, lay the groundwork for economic diplomacy, and reinforce a nation’s strategic leadership position on the world stage.

CASE STUDY: Strategic Ecosystem & Market Positioning

From Pilot to Platform: Launching a 5G Ecosystem for Agriculture

Problem
The 5G Open Innovation Lab needed to position its new agricultural field lab as more than just a pilot project—elevating it as a global proof point for real-world 5G innovation while aligning partners, government stakeholders, and the public around a cohesive, forward-looking story.

Solution & Results
Our team led the strategic communications and executive messaging strategy for the launch of the 5G Open Innovation Lab’s first agricultural application development field lab, designed to showcase how 5G, IoT, edge computing, and AI can transform food systems and supply chain resiliency. Funded through the CARES Act and built in partnership with Snohomish County and a global consortium of partners—including T-Mobile, Microsoft, Intel, Amdocs, and VMware—the field lab was a breakthrough public-private collaboration. We crafted executive messaging for Lab founder Jim Brisimitzis, orchestrated a high-impact press event with bipartisan Congressional participation, and executed a full media rollout, including branded video, radio media tour, and Tier I tech and agriculture media outreach. The launch generated over 700 broadcast media airings and millions of impressions—repositioning the Lab as an innovation platform, not just an accelerator. More importantly, it aligned government, startups, and enterprise partners under one vision: that 5G is not about speed, but about solving real problems—and transforming industries.

CASE STUDY: Leadership Narrative and Product Strategy

From Clean Tech to AI Leader: CEO Messaging and Product Positioning

Problem
Green CHP needed a compelling leadership narrative and brand positioning strategy to elevate its CEO and reframe the company from a clean energy hardware firm to a data-first energy intelligence platform capable of transforming the renewable energy landscape.

Solution & Results
Serving as Chief Strategy and Communication Officer, Rich Phillips worked with Green CHP CEO Emily Norcross to develop a bold executive voice and vision platform that would reposition the company not only as a renewable energy provider—but as a data innovator in the energy space. The central focus became Project Emerald Lake: a strategy to build the world’s first and most comprehensive data lake for renewable thermal energy. By integrating AI-ready data from hybrid Photovoltaic-Thermal (PVT) panels, hydrogen systems, and microgrids, the project sought to solve a critical market gap: the absence of structured data for decarbonization and predictive energy modeling. By building brand integrity and aligning Emily’s voice with an issue of market urgency, we helped Green CHP emerge as a credible thought leader and category creator. Green CHP transitioned from a tech startup to a scalable platform opportunity—generating investor interest, media engagement, and CEO visibility as a leader capable of ending greenwashing with data.

CASE STUDY: Multi-Stakeholder Alignment & Mission Storytelling

Unifying NASA’s Exploration Narrative Across Missions and Programs

Problem
NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate (HEO) lacked a cohesive narrative to align public and policy support across its core mission components—Orion, SLS, ISS, and Artemis—hindering momentum for deep space exploration.

Solution & Results
Our team worked with NASA and its industry partners (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Aerojet Rocketdyne, and others) to create a strategic communications platform that framed Orion, SLS, the International Space Station, as an integrated system for sustainable human space exploration. At a time when mission delays, budget scrutiny, and shifting public interest threatened progress, we developed a consolidated messaging platform and a powerful narrative arc that positioned NASA not just as a space agency—but as a collaborative leader and economic catalyst for the space economy. We deployed a multi-year Influencer Benchmarking Study to assess the attitudes of 100+ decision-makers in Congress, industry, media, and academia. As a result, NASA’s leadership credibility among influencers rose to its highest level in eight years. The campaign helped strengthen bipartisan support for Artemis, reposition ISS in the face of commercialization pressures, and reinforce the Moon as a steppingstone to Mars—establishing a long-term vision that aligned programs, partners, and policy leaders under a single strategic banner.

One Voice for Europe: A Unified Crisis Messaging Strategy

Problem
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Europe lacked a unified, strategic crisis communications framework to protect the continent’s image and reassure global travelers during moments of uncertainty and risk.

Solution & Results
To proactively address vulnerabilities across the continent, we led the development of a comprehensive crisis communication plan for the European Travel Commission (ETC), uniting 30+ national tourism agencies and regional governments under a shared messaging strategy. Through intensive discovery research, stakeholder interviews, and scenario planning, we designed a continent-wide framework tailored to real-world crises—from terrorist threats and pandemics to civil unrest and natural disasters. We developed narrative strategies, executive advisory protocols, and a modular toolkit of messages and response tactics grounded in transparency, authenticity, and consistency (TACTIC). Our solution included a first-of-its-kind benchmarking matrix to guide ETC members on message urgency and alignment, enabling faster, coordinated responses across jurisdictions. This foundational work became the basis for Europe’s early communication response during the COVID-19 crisis and positioned ETC and its members as unified, credible leaders in global travel recovery.
